Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 10 May 2019

Justice
If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.” (James 2:8-9)

Today’s Morsel: Do you treat everyone the same?  Do you do unto others as you would have them do unto you?  Do you keep the ‘Golden Rule’ at the forefront of your life?  James says that if we have respect to persons, we commit sin and are by the law sinners.  The law of love must be supreme with us, and we must love others as ourselves, no matter who they are, for Christ’s sake.  If we fail in doing this, we show that we have never truly been born again.  Because justice is blind, fair, and offers equal opportunity for all.

Sing: You’re my brother, you’re my sister, so take me by the hand, together we will work until He comes.  There’s no foe that can defeat us when we are walking side by side; As long as there is love, we can stand.

Thought For Today: “Justice… The way I want to be treated.” (Parker)
