"When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you" (Deuteronomy 20:1-4)
Today's Morsel: I often hear some Christians who work in the secular world talk of the persecution and battles they face at work. Women who do not wear pants, makeup, or jewelry, find themselves being ridiculed as being a plain Jane; and men who do not sit around and listen to filthy jokes, drink alcohol, smoke, go to clubs, and cheat on their wives are seen as weird. But why do they face such attacks? The answer is simple, they are the children of God versus the children of the devil. When you choose to take a stand for righteous living, the enemy will attack you. This is why the child of God must prepare for the battle on a daily basis. Paul said when you have done all you can do, to stand. Moses told the children of Israel when it looks like your enemies are more than you, don't be afraid because the Lord is with you. So my encouragement to you today, is when it seems as though your enemies are surrounding you, making fun of you, and talking about you because you are taking a stand for righteous living, "Let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you." Always remember, greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world.
Sing: He's bigger than all my problems, bigger than all my fears, yes He's bigger than any mountain that I can or cannot see. He's bigger than all my questions, bigger than all my thoughts, yes, He's bigger than any mountain that I can or cannot see.
