"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith" (Romans 12:3)
Today's Morsel: How much faith would you say that you have? Do you still have the same amount that Jesus gave you, or do you have a whole lot more? You know, Jesus gives us the measure or portion of His faith to see what we will do with it. The same way that the Lord told Moses to put some of his honor upon Joshua (Numbers 27), He give us some of His faith to see what we will do with it. Peter tells us to add to our faith (2 Peter 1:5) because like the apostle James, they all knew that faith without works is dead (James 2), and that without faith we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). When we add spiritual things to our faith, it will grow and we will have a lot more than what we began with and we won't be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When your faith is strong, you aren't easily shaken or moved. If you only have a little bit of faith, you can move mountains, Jesus said, but it's so much easier to move them when your faith is strong.
Sing: Lord lift me up and let me stand, by faith on heaven's table land. A higher plane than I have found, Lord plant my feet on higher ground.
