2010 August 30 - Morning Manna

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren (Proverbs 6:16-19).

Today's Morsel: Why in the world would anyone in their right mind want to make God angry? Solomon says that there six things that God hates and seven are an abomination unto him. The seventh is the person that sows discord (strife) among brethren. James says, "But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work" (James 3:14-16). As saints of God, we are called to operate in unity and peace. Unity and peace in our homes and family, our churches, our communities, and our work places. Unity always begins with "U." Sowing discord should never be a part of a born again believer's agenda, as God hates discord. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and thus, we must operate as such. Always remember, evil communication corrupts good manners!

Sing: What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. O' precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow, no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus.
