2010 June 15 - Morning Manna

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities (Psalms 103:10).

Today's Morsel: Do you get angry when you don't get what you deserve? When you don't get a raise on your job and you know that you've earned it, do you get angry? What about a promotion? Do you ever wish you could have what you deserve? Well, what about punishment for your sins? What if God was to reward us for those, would you want the punishment? The Psalmist said that God hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities (Psalms 103:10). He also said, "If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared"(Psalms 130:3-4). God doesn't reward us according to our sins. Because if He did, we would all be in lots of trouble. The next time you feel that you should get what you deserve, be careful. Jesus said, "Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth"(Luke 12:15).

Sing: They that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint, teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to wait.
