2013 November 22 - Morning Manna

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
(Psalms 46:1-11)
Today's Morsel:How much trust and confidence do you have in God? Do you believe that He can do anything? Do you believe that He will come through for you? Do you believe that He will show up at the appropriate time and help you? Do you have faith and confidence as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to saythat yur God will deliver you, and if not, you still will not bow? The faith and confidence in a child of God must not be of arrogance, but of the belief that God will be there when you need Him. It doesn't mean that He's going to change your situation, it means that He will comfort you through your trial and circumstance. You see, your faith requires you to be still and to know that He is God. And to be still is to just let go and allow God to take care of it for you. To me, I don't worry how much the heathen rage and the wicked think they have the upper hand, for I know that God will still be exalted in the earth when it is all said and done.
Sing: He is exalted! He is exalted! He is exalted on high. Creation shall praise Him, the saints shall adore Him, for He is exalted on high.
