Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 9 December 2021

 Keep The Commandments

“For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be. There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you” (Deuteronomy 11:22-25).

Today’s Morsel: Throughout scripture, God continually encourages us that He is with us if we will obey Him and keep His commandments.  Everyone who has been born-again of the water and the spirit has this same token and should be encouraged because He has given to us His power, and His presence is always with us.  You don’t need to fear if you obey Him, because you have been given the power to tread over your enemies that come against you (Luke 10:19).  As Moses told the children of Israel, “There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon.”  That same promise is to us as well.  So, get fear out of your life.  Just do what God says in His word and let Him take care of the small stuff.

Sing:  Great and Mighty is the Lord our God, Great and Mighty is He.  Great and Mighty is the Lord our God, Great and Mighty is He.  Lift up the banner let the anthems ring, praises to our King.  Great and Mighty is the Lord our God, Great and Mighty is He.

Thought For Today: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.(Isaiah 41:10)
