Jesus The Light of The World

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

(John 8:12)

Today’s Morsel:  One of the greatest things about light is that it will repeal darkness.  If you haven’t figured this out yet, that is why people in the world don’t care for Christians, you expose their darkness and evil ways.  So, keep that in mind.  Jesus is the light of the world.  So when He shows up, darkness trembles.  And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.(Mark 1:23-24)  Those demons knew who He was.  What about you?  “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.(1 John 1:5-7)  Therefore, every saint of God must proclaim that Jesus is the light of the world by their life and character.

Sing:  Jesus, the light of the world.  We’ll walk in the light, beautiful light, come where the dewdrops of mercy are bright; shine all around us by day and by night.  Jesus the light of the world.

Thought For Today: Jesus is still the light that will get you out of darkness.
