Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime (Daniel 6:10).
Today's Morsel: Down south during olden times, people didn't say raise up the window or open the window, they said, "Heist". "Heist up that window," they would say. They wanted them to be open so fresh air could come in. Daniel kept his window open toward the holy city. He directed his prayers toward Jerusalem and prayed and gave thanks to God at all times. Daniel wanted nothing obstructing his view. He wanted openness to His God. We need to ensure that our spiritual window to heaven is always open and never shut. Are you willing to keep the window to your heart open and allow Jesus to have free excess into your life? When the window to our heart is open, it allows God to come in at His liberty and make changes as He sees fit. Do you have your spiritual window open? If not, why not get it heisted up, so Jesus can just come on in.
Sing: Let Jesus come on in! Let Him come on in! Heist up your window, open up the door, let Him, come on in.
