2010 December 31 - Morning Manna

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
(1 Corinthians 15:51-58)

Today's Morsel:  Just what is change? And why do we need change?  And how does change affected us? Change means to become different, or make something or somebody different; to pass or make something pass from one state or stage to another.  It means to alter, modify, transform, adjust, amend, or to make an alteration.  So what changes do you need to make in your life?
Each day we are changing, whether we like it or not. We are changing from the moment we are born.  As our body becomes older, it changes.  As we age, we are no longer able to do those things we use to do.  We are changing, but some folks don't like change.  If their hair starts to change from its natural color to gray, they want to change it back and so they try to dye it back to its original color.  When their face begins to wrinkle, they go and get a face lift to try to remove the aging.  But change is still going to come.  Paul said: "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed."   What preparation are you making for the coming year with change in your life? If we don't prepare for change in our spiritual life, we will continue to live the same way we've always lived, and do the things we've always done.  Are you willing to allow God to change you into what He wants you to be?  If we are going to be like Him, then we are going to have to change.  We need to get God off the time clock.  In other words, don't say that church starts at 10am and that we are out by 12am.  We need to change the way we worship and talk about our churches.  If we have 10 people, don't say we only have a few people attending, isn't God concerned about that 10?  Doesn't scripture say that where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I Am in the midst of thee?  If Jesus is there, who cares about the numbers?  We need to stop worrying about the number in attendance, number of baptisms and Holy Ghost infilling, and be concerned with preaching the Gospel, as that is the only thing that is going to change us and others.  Are you ready for change?

Sing:  I've been changed, I am new born now, all my life has been rearranged, what a difference it made when the Lord came to stay, in my heart, Oh yes, I've been changed.
