Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2018 July 6

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16)

Today’s Morsel:  What did you do yesterday with your time that made you know more about Jesus?  How much of your time did you use to tell someone else about Him? How much of it did you use to prepare yourself and your family for heaven?  Someone told me a story of a man that took a tape measure and stretched it on the ground and told a man to go to the number that represented his age. The man was 60 years old, and so he went to the number 60 on the tape measure.  The man with the tape measure asked him, knowing that tomorrow is not promised, how much of that sixty years have you wasted?  What about you?  Are you redeeming the time?  Only what we do for Christ will last.

Sing:  Time is filled with swift transition, naught of earth unmoved can stand; build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand!
Hold to God’s unchanging hand! Hold to God’s unchanging hand! Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Thought For Today: Redeem the time. The days are evil.
