Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2023 August 14

Are You Enjoying Life?

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

(John 10:10)

Today’s Morsel: Are you enjoying life or just existing through life? Life must be lived. If you see life as mundane and boring, you aren’t living, you are just existing. If your job is boring and unrewarding, you aren’t living, you are just existing. If church isn’t exciting and enjoying to you, you are just existing. Jesus came to give us life and that more abundantly. You see, an abundant life is a Spirit filled life. It’s a service life. It’s a life that realizes that it has been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. If your words oftentimes are “I’m so busy”, then you are just existing, you aren’t living. If you are in Christ, you ought to be living and never just be existing. You should always be full of life. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). Enjoy the life Jesus has given you, start living!

Sing: I’ve found a new way of living; I’ve found a new life divine, I have the fruit of the spirit, I am abiding, abiding in the vine.

Abiding in the vine, abiding in the vine, love, joy, health, peace, He has made them mine.  I have prosperity, power, and victory,  I am abiding, abiding, in the vine.
