Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 28 November 2022

 Everyone

“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:37-39)

Today’s Morsel: When God poured out His Spirit upon the 120 disciples in the upper room and Peter preached that first apostolic message, he said that this promise was for everyone. Every individual mattered. Every individual had a role to play. Every individual could make a difference in the Kingdom. What is your part? Are you fulfilling your part? What will your obituary say that you did for the kingdom of God on earth? What will others remember about you?  How have you impacted their lives? What will those closest to you remember about how you lived? The Holy Ghost brought newness of life. And the book of Acts is still being written today by each life. What will heaven say about you?

Sing: I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me, it makes the lame to walk and the blind to see.  It opens prison doors, sets the captives free.  I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me.

Thought For Today: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.(Mark 16:15-18)
