Help Lord
“Help,
LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of
men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they
speak.” (Psalms 12:1-2)
Today’s Morsel:
Do you feel as though no one cares about you and your situation? Do you
feel that all those you’ve helped and have done well to are now nowhere to be
found? Well, welcome to David’s world. David felt that those who
should know to do what was right were now turned back to the ways of the world.
He states, “The godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of
men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering
lips and with a double heart do they speak.” He felt that
the only one that he could rely upon was God. And so he cried, "Help
Lord for the godly man ceaseth." Paul said, "This know also, that in the last days perilous
times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the
power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Timothy 3:1-5) We must settle this in our minds and hold to
God’s unchanging hand. Others may not be there for us, but He will always
be our help and support in times of trouble.
Sing: Lord, I can’t even walk, without
You holding my hand. The mountains too high and the valleys too wide;
Down on my knees, is where I learn to pray, and I can’t even walk, without You
holding my hand.
Thought For Today: Jesus will not
fail you nor forsake you.
