2015 May 21 - Morning Manna

And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof: But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof. A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof. In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof. All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. (Exodus 12:43-49)

Today's Morsel:  We hear a lot in the media these days about people shouting about unfairness.  I had a lady tell me that she was even told that God picks and chooses.  One of the things we need to realize is that God's ways are not our ways; as the Lord spake through the Prophet Isaiah, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9).  It may seem that God isn't fair but that's not true.  He told Moses and Aaron, "One law shall be to him that is home born, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you."  Notice, one law.  All of Israel was required to do the same thing under the law God gave to them.   Even though God's ways and His thoughts are higher than ours, He is still no respecter of persons.  God said that there was one law for all.  When we turn to the church, there is not one plan of salvation for me and one for you.  God only made one plan, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  As the apostle Peter admonished: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).  We must all repent of our sins, be baptized in Jesus' name, and receive the infilling of the Holy Ghost which is evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives us utterance, and then live a holy life separated unto God.  That's His Plan.

Sing: There's just one, one, one, one way to God! There's just one, one, one, one way to God! There's just one, one, one, one way to God!  Baptized in Jesus Name!

Thought for Today: I and my Father are One (John 10:30).
