2013 November 21 - Morning Manna

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand"(Ephesians 6:10-13)
Today's Morsel: The Encarta Dictionary, English North America, defines evil as: Profoundly immoral or wrong. To deliberately cause great harm, pain, or upset; to be connected with the devil or other powerful, destructive forces. Paul said that we should put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The call is for the child of God to become battle ready. We can easily see that this prophetic truth, which was spoke by Paul, is for us today. For precept must be upon percept, line upon line. Paul seems to have looked through that dark glass and he saw what was ahead. And so he said, let me warn the child of God for the battle that is to come. He cautioned us to get on our armor. He told Timothy that in the last days perils time would come. The times now are dangerous. I'm sure they were dangerous in Paul's day, and they continue to be as much so, if not more so, today. So let me encourage you, now is not the time to retreat back into the world for fear, nor is it time to lay your armor aside. But now is the time for the children of God to be fully persuaded that what God said that He will do, He will do. Now is the time for you to suit up with truth, righteousness, faith, and learn the Word of God. Because it will be by the Word of God that will determine if we live or die. When you have done all you can do to stand, stand therefore and see the salvation of God.
Sing: Great and mighty is the Lord our God, great and mighty is He; Great and mighty is the Lord our God, great and mighty is He. Lift up the banner, let the anthem ring, praises to our King, Great and mighty is the Lord our God, great and mighty is He.
