According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: (2 Peter 1:3)
Today's Morsel: Do you ever feel like something is missing in your life? Do you ever get that feeling like you know that you want something, but you just can't put your finger on what it is? Or you go to the restaurant and you are reviewing the menu and you think you know what you want, but you aren't for certain if it's really what you'd like today. Do you ever hear people say, "I wish I had_____." Peter said that God has given to us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. You see once we have the knowledge of God we should be content with what we have. We should immediately learn that life does not consist in the things we possess. When we understand that Jesus is the bread of life, the word of life, and the resurrection and the life, and we allow Him into our life, we will have all that pertains to life, because He is The way, The truth, and The life (John 14:6). "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen" (Ephesians 3:14-21).
