2013 September 30 - Morning Manna

"A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies... A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies" (Proverbs 14:5;25)

Today's Morsel: I'm afraid that too many people are making decisions and drawing conclusions about people and situations based on what they hear and not what they see. A faithful witness is one who has seen, not one who tells what they have heard others say as being truthful and factual. A true witness has facts of what took place because they were present and saw what happened. And that witness is able to provide truth so the guilty is charged and the innocent is made free. Solomon said that a faithful witness will not lie. The apostle Paul said that God is faithful no matter if we are faithful to Him or not. He cannot change who He is. "It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. " (2 Timothy 2:11-13). Jesus told Nicodemus, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness" (John 3:11). If you are planning to see Jesus, you must be a true and faithful witness of His, because liars and false witnesses cannot enter the kingdom of heaven (Revelation 22:15).

Sing: He's been faithful, faithful to me, looking back his love and mercy I see, though in my heart I have questioned, even failed to believe, yet he's been faithful, faithful to me.
