Today's Morsel: I have come to realize it that in the King James Version of the Bible, two words aren't used. The words positive and negative. But we do find the words evil and good all throughout scriptures. The word evil is mentioned over 569 times in scripture and the word negative isn't mentioned at all. Maybe the world likes using the word negative because it doesn't seem as harsh as the wordevil. I think if the church were to use the word evil the way that God intended for it to be used, it would cause people to reevaluate themselves in the light of God's word and repent. The men who Moses sent to espy out the land didn't return with a negative report, they brought up an evil report. Paul didn't say that in the last days that negative seducers would wax worse and worse, he said that evil seducers shall wax worse and worse. Even though Joshua and Caleb saw the same thing as the others who brought the evil report, they knew that their God was able to deliver. Because both life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:20), we need to be careful how we present our reports. Even if it looks terrible, God is good and God is able.
Sing: God is good all the time. God is good all the time. God is good all the time, for unmerited favor, I'll stand up and sing, God is good all the time.
