Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 October 3

“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”
(Proverbs 3:3-6)

Today’s Morsel:  Have you ever seen the kid on the playground or the young man or woman who was not included with others?  Did the immediate thought run through your mind that they were forsaken?  A stray dog walking down the street can even feel forsaken and look for companionship.  How do you feel when you are forsaken? Solomon said that we should not let mercy and truth forsake us.  But that we should bind them about our neck; write them upon the table of our hearts so we can find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.  Man may forsake you, but Jesus will not.

Sing:  Mercy there was great and grace was free; pardon there was multiplied to me; there my burden soul found liberty, at Calvary.

Thought For Today:  Jesus won’t leave you nor forsake you.
