Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2016 September 7

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11)

Today’s Morsel: Scripture says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.  One of the things that I have noticed, is that man has been able to reproduce
just about  everything that God has made
except the blood. Everyone one of us ha
s
our own blood type.  Unless yours is the same as mine, I cannot put yours into my body and live. God’s word says that our life is in the blood. This is why Acts 2:38 is so essential to your New Birth.   Notice: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38).  Baptism is for the remission of sin.  It’s here that the blood is applied to a person's life. If you want to live, then you have to obey the command.  You must have the blood of Christ applied to your life.

Sing: What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; what can make me whole again?  Nothing but the blood of Jesus.  Oh! Precious is the flow that makeme white as snow; no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Thought  For Today:  The Life of the flesh is in the blood.
