Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2016 September 17

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. (Psalms 127:3-5)

Today’s Morsel:  One of the things about children is if they are taught right and brought up right, on the most part, they will protect their aged parents as effectually as arrows in the hand of a warrior.  But on the other hand, if not, they can become a cross.  Something you will have to bear and want to get rid of.  Children are to be seen as a gift from God.  And how we treat that gift will determine how that gift blesses us.  It’s never the gift's fault if it does not serve its intended purpose.  It’s the recipients.

Sing:  Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world.  Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world.

Thought For Today:  It’s never the gift's fault if it does not serve its intended purpose.  It’s the recipients. (Parker)
