2013 October 15 - Morning Manna

"O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth" (Psalms 96:9-13).

Today's Morsel: I am afraid that so many people are going to be left behind when Jesus comes again. You know, having faith is more than just believing in God, it's believing that He is coming back again just as He said. The entire Bible is filled with prophesies of His coming and soon return. But I am afraid that people who say that they are Christians are going to get left behind. The psalmist said that the Lord is coming to judge the earth; and the guidelines He is going to use to determine who goes back with Him are righteousness and truth. Righteousness represents those who have behaved themselves according to the Word of God; and truth represents those who have kept it and obeyed it. Having knowledge of how God will judge, the apostle John wrote, "Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother" (1 John 3:7-10). Remember, holiness calls for a separation from this world. Are you ready for that judgment day?
Sing: Oh my brother are you ready for the call? To crown your Savior King and Lord of all? The kingdoms of this world, shall soon before Him fall, we shall see the King when He comes.

We shall see the King! We shall see the King! We shall see the King when He come, He's coming in His power, we'll hail the blessed hour, we shall see the King when He comes.
