2013 June 29 - Morning Manna

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." (Psalms 19:7-14)
Today's Morsel: Someone said that the average woman uses twice as many words as men do. My wife says it's because women have twice as many important things to say as men. Hummmm! When we turn to scripture, Paul said, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works"(2 Timothy 3:16-17). Therefore, every word of God is important to you in your life. Even the ones you may not agree with. They all have a purpose. And that purpose is to help perfect us to God's image. When James, cautioned us to not just be hears but doers of God's Word (James 1:22), he was calling for us to apply it all to our lives so that we will be blessed in all that we do. So let me encourage you, when you are reading and studying your Bible, always remember, character counts and so does every Word God. Apply the Word to your life and build your character.
Sing: More to be desired as they then gold, much fine gold, sweeter also than the honey, and the honey comb.
