2013 June 17 - Morning Manna

And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: (Exodus 4:1-4)

Today's Morsel: It seems as though everyone has something in their hands these days. I see the young and the old walking with cell phones, smart phones, walkmans, IPads, keys, or something else in their hand. Very few people are seen without something in their hands. Even Moses had something in his hand, a rod. God used that rod to deliver His people. You know, I think that if the things people are carrying in their hands were used to advance the gospel, we could reach the world with Truth. Many people tweet, but most tweets are not about the Gospel, it's about gossip. Many people text, but again it has nothing to do with the Gospel. Many post on Facebook, but how much of that contains the Gospel message? With today's technology, the Gospel shouldn't be hidden from any country or people. We don't have to spend billions of dollars to send people to foreign countries to take the Gospel to them, why not just tweet, text or email it to them. Who cares if it get intercepted. Maybe the ones intercepting and reading it will get saved. Remember, God's Word will not return void. So what is that in your hand? Use it to spread the Gospel today.
Sing: Send the light, the blessed gospel light, let it shine from shore to shore; send the light, the blessed gospel light, let it shine for ever more.
