2010 June 2 - Morning Manna

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light (Psalms 36:9).

Today's Morsel: What do you see when you look in the mirror? Are you surprised at what you see? The mirror reflects what is put into it. The Bible says that in thy light shall we see light. Ponder this for a moment. The psalmist said, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path"(Psalms 119:105); "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple"(Psalms 119:130). John said, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world"(John 1:1-9). He further stated, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12). When we understand that the Word is light, and when we look into its pages, we immediate see Jesus, the light of the world. As He is the Word made flesh (John 1:14). What do you reflect to others? Do people see Jesus in you?

Sing: Light of the world You stepped down into darkness, opened my eyes, let me see. Beauty that made, this heart adore You, hope of a life spent with You. (chorus)

Chorus: Here I am to worship. Here I am to bow down. Here I am to say that You're my God. You're altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me.

King of all days, Oh so highly exalted, Glorious in Heaven above. Humbly You came to the earth You created, All for love's sake became poor. (Chorus)

Bridge: I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross! (3X) (back to Chorus)
