Don’t Be Your Own Worst Enemy
“Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.” (Job 4:8)
Today’s Morsel: One of the things that is sure in life is that you reap what you sow. Solomon, the wisest man to ever lived, stated: “There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it. All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt. And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity. Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.” (Ecclesiastes 8:8-13) Solomon highlights for us that the wicked and every sinner isn’t getting away just because their sentence is not speedily executed, he lets us know that it shall not be well or good for the wicked and sinner when their judgement comes. If we reap good for doing good and evil and wickedness for doing evil, I don’t think we need to be a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out. Job lets us know that we reap what we sow. Or should I say that we reap what we do. So, don’t be your own worst enemy. Be careful and aware of what you are sowing, it will come back around to you.

Lord, I can’t even walk, without You holding my hand, the mountains too high, and the valleys too wide. Down on my knees, that’s where I learn to stand; And I can’t even walk without You holding my hand.
Thought For Today: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)
