Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 September 13

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates”
(2 Corinthians 13:5-6).

Today’s Morsel:  When was the last time that you evaluated the tasks you do every day against what is most important to you?  When did you last evaluate them against who is most important to you?  Where do Jesus and family fit?  You have goals.  You have time.  You have energy. Where should it be invested?  Paul told the church at Corinth to examine themselves to see if they were in the faith.  Are you in the faith?  When is the last time you did a self-evaluation of your faith?  Do you think it might be time to prune away so of your diversions; distraction, entertainment, pass times, hobby, leisure activity, amusement, recreational distraction, entertainment, for the truly important things?

Sing: The greatest thing in all my life is knowing You. The greatest thing in all my life is knowing You.  I want to know You more, I want to know You more.  The greatest thing in all my life is knowing You.

Thought For Today:  For without Me, ye can do nothing. (Jesus Christ)
