Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 April 7

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7).

Today’s Morsel:  One of the basic subjects that the military teaches all its members is “First Aid.”  From how to stop the bleeding to restoring life.  It’s very intense training.  Therefore, when as a soldier comes upon an accident they will react to see where and how they may help.  It has been engrained in them to act.  The first case of mouth to nose resuscitation was performed by God.  He breathed into the nostril of Adam and Adam became a living soul.  God put life in to his lifeless body.  Adam was without life.  God did what we now call today the first aid method of mouth to nose resuscitation.  It’s one of the quickest ways to get air into the body when the mouth is blocked or there is some other obstruction.  Paul said, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1).  Yes, while we were in sin we were dead.  But thanks be to God that He breathed in us the breath of life and now we are living souls.  The first “First Aid” measure that every Christian must know is how to apply the gospel, which brings life to a dead soul.

Sing:  Born again, there’s been in change in me, born again, just like Jesus said.  Born again, and all because of Calvary, I’m so glad that I’ve been born again.

Thought For Today:  The first “First Aid” measure that every Christian must know is how to apply the gospel.
