I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
(Proverbs 8:12-21).
(Proverbs 8:12-21).
Today’s Morsel: How much do you love wisdom? It seems that so many in the world today are without it. There seems to be a lack of this precious character trait. Isn’t it amazing that it was there before the world was ever made by God? Isn’t it amazing that it was brought up by His side? Isn’t it also amazing that no matter where you turn, she is calling to you, yet few will accept her. Solomon said that she leads in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. If we love wisdom, we can inherit substance and our treasure will be filled. The Lord said through Isaiah that He would be the substance (Isaiah 6:13). And Paul said that the Holy Ghost was our treasure in these earthen vessels (2 Corinthians 4:7). No matter the substance or the treasure, when we find wisdom, we find life, which is Jesus, and we obtain favor of the Lord.
Sing: No one can touch you like Jesus can. No one can give you peace you cannot understand; No one can heal your wound with nail scared hands. No one can touch you like Jesus can.
Thought For Today: Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom.
