“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers”
(John 10:1-5)
Today’s Morsel: Jesus makes it pretty clear that there is only one way in to the sheepfold and that is going to be through Him. We know that He tells us that the thief comes not but for to steal, kill, and to destroy. And the robber also steals, kills, and destroys. But the shepherd, on the other hand, leads and guides in to the fold. Satan has one goal, and that is to steal your joy, kill your faith, and destroy your home and life. While Jesus, on the other hand, wants you be filled with joy unspeakable, walk in faith, and build your life on Him and His promises. With Jesus, you don’t have to try to sneak in. You can come through the door. “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee” (Revelation 3:8-9). No matter your sin, if you are willing, you can come through the door. Repentance opens the door wide.
Sing: Walk on through the door, into a greater harvest, than you’ve ever known before.
Thought For Today: The door is open.
