2014 September 6 - Morning Manna

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  (Hebrews 11:6)

Today's Morsel:   How many times in a week would you say that you struggle with your faith?  I think many people do not understand the concept of faith.  Faith doesn't mean that you aren't going to face difficulties and sometimes even lose heart.  Faith means that you are not going to give in when they come.  Scripture is filled with instructions to follow when uncertainties, troubles, and unforeseen things come into our lives.  This is why we are told to study the scriptures and to become a doer of them.  The Bible is filled with examples of what to do and what not to do for every situation.  We are told not to cast away our confidence (Hebrews 10:35-39).  Faith is no more than:  First Acting In The Hope that you have.  As David said to himself,  "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God" (Psalms 42:11).  If you praise God for who He is, you don't have to worry about losing your faith.

Sing: Faith can move mountains, mountains of fear and of doubt, faith can move mountains, so why don't you try your faith out.

Thought For Today:  Faith is no more than, First Acting In The Hope that you have.  (Parker)
