2014 July 10 - Morning Manna

"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."  (Hebrews 13:15-16)

Today's Morsel:  If you have Sirius Radio, then you know that one of the stations is owned and operated by Kirk Franklin,  and is called Kirk Franklin Praise.  Years ago, he wrote a song entitled "Smile".  The main purpose is to keep you smiling no matter what you are going through in your life, because God is working for you and on your behalf.   It has been stated that it takes more facial muscles to frown then it does to smile.  Scripture says that when we do good and communicate God is well pleased.  In other words, doing good and talking with people puts a big old smile on God's face.  Now you know two of the things that makes God happy, why not practice them daily so that God retains His smile.  You don't want to make God sad, do you?

Sing:  Smile awhile and give your face a rest, raise your hands to the One you love the best.  Turn around to someone new, shake their hand and smile.

Thought for Today: "A smile changes you."
