2013 May 29 - Morning Manna

In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:26-27)
Today's Morsel: It seems as though the more the wicked are in authority, the more confidence he has within himself then in God. He fails to realize that he shall soon be cut down like the grass. Even Asap almost found himself slipping away because of the wicked (Psalms 73); but when he went to church and heard the Word of the Lord, he knew that the wicked are in slippery places. Just because it seems that the wicked have the upper hand, fret not little flock, they shall soon be brought down. The Bible says that the fear of the Lord is strong confidence. In other words, the person who reverences and respects God understands that God will supply all his needs. He understands that God is the giver and the taker of life and that it is He that sits upon the throne of judgment. Solomon tells us that confidence in an unfaithful man is like a broken tooth and a foot out of joint. They are both painful. But when we respect and give honor to our God, not only will we be confident and have a fountain of life flowing out of us, but our children will also have a place of refuge for themselves too. Always remember, you are the best example for your children and grandchildren.
Sing: I've got a river of life flowing out of me, it makes the lame to walk and the blind to see; it opens prison doors, sets the captives free, I've got a river of life flowing out of me.
