O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!(Psalms 107:1-8).
Today's Morsel: How long ago has it been since you have been without? I have noticed that not one promise that God made in His Word has failed. Everything that He said, will come to pass. And so the psalmist said that we ought to give thanks unto the Lord because He is good. God is good all the time. These aren't just words to say in the hype of the moment when things are going good for you. These are words for you to live by. These are words that keep you on the right pathway. These are words you teach your children and testify of. These are words when you are walking around in your home and driving your car that you realize how good God really is. God is good all the time. He can't change who He is. David said, "Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life." Therefore, we ought not to just praise the LORD for His goodness, but also for His wonderful works to the children of men. If you don't think God has your best interest at heart, try living without Him.
Sing: Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him in the morning, praise Him in the noon time. Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him when the sun goes down.
