In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory (Isaiah 6:1-3).
Today's Morsel: In a Peanuts comic strip, Lucy says to Charlie Brown, "Life is like a ship deck chair. Some people place it so they can see where they have been. Others place it so they can see where they are going, and others places it so they can see where they are now." Charlie Brown, is fuss and carrying on with his chair and says, "I can't even get mine unfolded."
We all need to get our vision of God unfolded and see what God is trying to do with our lives. Just where has God brought you from? Where are you at now? And where is He taking you? Scripture says, "When they were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and said unto him, Who brought thee hither? and what makest thou in this place? and what hast thou here?"(Judges 18:3). Just what is God trying to accomplish in you that you aren't seeing? When Isaiah got a vision of God, he noticed that the whole earth was full of God's glory. He saw the glory of God. He saw God in His beauty and splendor. Isaiah realized that there was no room for anything else. When we get our vision of God unfolded, we are going to see that we, too, do not have room for anything else in our lives. Let me encourage you today, put Jesus in His rightful place as the head of your life, so that your life will not become cluttered with the things of this world.
Sing: Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Open the eyes of my heart. I want to see You. I want to see You.
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Open the eyes of my heart. I want to see You. I want to see You.
Chorus: To see You high and lifted up, Shining in the light of Your glory, pour out Your power and love, as we sing holy, holy, holy.
