Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 1 July 2020

When God Doesn’t Answer

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.(Isaiah 55:8-9)

Today’s Morsel:  One of the greatest things that I have found since becoming a born-again Christian is to know that God will come through for His people.  I know that when God does not answer according to our ways and time it can become a heartache and cause doubt for some.  But for those of us who know him, we should not be discouraged but encouraged that we have an opportunity to carry our needs and the needs of others to the Lord.  God is not obligated to answer the way that we want him to.  He is only obligated to hear our request.  Should He choose to answer or not is totally up to Him.  His ways and thoughts are not the same as ours.  We should be confident that he does hear us. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.(1 John 5:14-15)  Rest assured, God always hears, and He always answers in His perfect way.

Sing:  Leave them there, leave them there; take your burdens to the Lord, and leave them there.  If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.  Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.

Thought For Today: Prayer still works!
