2014 August 11 - Morning Manna

O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great. The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD
(Psalms 115:9-18).

Today’s Morsel:  The story is told of a pastor who walked into his church and saw the angels sweeping in the floor. The pastor asked the angels what they were doing? The angels replied, “Sweeping up blessings everyone left behind.”  The pastor said, “You’re doing what?  The angels repeated themselves.  The Pastor said, “Why”  The angels said, “Well, the people keep praying and asking the Father to bless them and He keeps throwing blessings down to them, but they don’t want them, they just leave them laying here.”  May I ask when the last time was that you have counted your blessings?  The Psalmist said The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us and that the LORD shall increase you more and more.  There are so many blessings that the Lord has for you, but you must show Him that you are accepting every other one that He gives you and not pick and choose.  James tells us, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).  God is your help and shield and He will bless and increase you more and more.  Isaiah says “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:29).  Aren’t you glad you trust in the Lord?

Sing: My blessing is coming my way, it’s only a matter of time, until his purpose comes to pass, it’s only a matter of time. I’m waiting for my miracle, I’m waiting for my miracle, I’m waiting for my miracle; over taken by a blessing.
