2012 August 30 - Morning Manna

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:13-22)
Today's Morsel:These are great walls which have kept people separate from each other for years. And even today, people are building up walls around themselves. Not physical walls, but mental walls have been and are being built. Husbands and wives sleep in separate rooms because of disagreements, mistrust, hurts, abuse, and unfaithfulness. Even children live in homes where there are walls between them and their parents. Many people have built walls around their hearts and no one and nothing can get in. Their hearts are the stony soil that Jesus spoke of in Luke 8 when He said, "They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away" (Luke 8:13). Many people have put up walls of prejudice because of race, color, and national origin of another. But scripture tells us that God is no respecter of persons. Paul said that Jesus has broken down the middle wall of partition between us. When it comes to Christ Jesus, there should be no race division. When Jesus was crucified, the veil of the temple was rent giving us access unto the Father. There are no more walls to stop us from coming to God, so what's stopping you?
Sing: He set me free yes, He set me free. He broke the bars of prison for me. I'm glory bound my Jesus to see. Glory to God, He set me free.
