2011 July 13 - Morning Manna

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. (Proverbs 23:23)

Today's Morsel: I've noticed that this time of year, many people are having estate, garage, and yard sales.  They are getting rid of things that they feel no longer need.  We seem to accumulate a lot of stuff during our lifetimes.  Many people say that they don't have anything, yet they find that they need to get rid of stuff to make room for more stuff.  Granted, we do outgrow certain things, but we never seem to be satisfied.  I'm sure that those who are having these sales have to decide what to keep, what to throw away, and what to let go of.  Solomon said, "Buy the truth and sell it not."  He also states, "Remove not the old landmarks which thou fathers have set up."  Are you holding on to the truth? Remember, the truth will make you free.  Truth is like the get out of jail free card on the Monopoly board game.  It's like the express way pass for the toll road.  Truth clears the way for you to keep going without delays.  So don't sell the truth. The Word of God is truth.  When you sell truth, you are telling Jesus that He isn't  important to you anymore.

Sing:  Jesus is the answer for the world today, above Him there's no other, Jesus is the way; Jesus is the answer for the world today, above Him there's no other, Jesus is the way.
