What's Love Got To Do With It?
“If ye fulfil the
royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself,
ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced
of the law as transgressors.” (James 2:8-9)
Today’s Morsel: How is it that two
people can be so much in love until they get married, and then it seems that
one of them so soon loses the love that they had for the other? Isn’t
love supposed to grow over time? Isn’t love the bond of perfectness?
Isn’t love supposed to be real? Isn’t love what God gave His son for? Paul's
writing to the church at Corinth states that love does not behave itself
unseemly. Love does not act inappropriately. Love endures. Love hopes. Love is
kind. Love is God. And if God loved us, we ought to love one another. It is the
rule you know.
Sing: The greatest thing in all my life is
loving You. The greatest thing in all my life is loving You. I want to love You
more. I want to love You more. The greatest thing in all my life is loving You.
Thought For Today: “Let love be without
dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” (Romans
12:9)
