Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 11 January 2020

Talebearers

“A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.” (Proverbs 11:13)

Today’s Morsel:  When Jesus took Peter, James, and John with Him on the mount of transfiguration and they saw Moses and Elijah talking with him, there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my beloved Son: hear him".  And as they came down from the mountain, He charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man was risen from the dead.  And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean. (See Mark Chapter 9).  They were given a secret and they had to learn how to keep it and not reveal it to others.  What about you?  Are you able to keep the things told to you in secret?  We should not go up and down as a talebearer among people, as the words of a talebearer hurt.

Sing: Jesus never fail, Jesus never fail.  You might as well get thee behind me Satan you shall not prevail, because Jesus never fails.

Thought For Today: There is only one ‘u’ in faithfulness. (Parker)
