One Law
“As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.” (Leviticus 7:7)
Today’s Morsel: When we search the scriptures, we see that God is no respecter of persons. When He gave the law to Moses, it was the same for everyone. Every tribe was required to do the same thing. We even find that the same way the people were required to bring an offering for their sins, the priests were also required to do the same. Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, there is not a different plan of salvation for each denomination. According to the apostle Jude, they had a common salvation (Jude 3). If under the law there was only one law for the forgiveness of sin, you can be sure that under the New Testament there is only one law for the forgiveness of sin. “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38) What law are you using for the remission of your sins? We need to follow the word of God for our doctrine.
Sing: There was a time on earth, when in the book of heaven an old account was standing for sins yet unforgiven; my name was at the top, and many things below, I went unto the keeper and settled long ago.
Long ago, down on my knees, long ago, I settled it all; Yes, the old account was settled long ago. And the record is clear today, for He washed my sins away; When the old account was settled long ago.
Thought For Today: “Have you settled your account in heaven?” Parker
