“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted” (Galatians 6:1).
Today’s Morsel: One of the things about restoration is that you must want to be restored. No one can ever be restored who does not have a true heart of repentance toward God for their wrong. David was probably the most repentant man in the Bible when God exposed to Him his sin and Psalms 51 is that prayer of repentance by David. If one is overtaken in a fault and they desire to be restored, they must have a heart of true repentance and submission both to God and those who are appointed over them. Without that, they cannot be restored. Restoration starts with a heart of repentance.
Sing: If you will come to Jesus Christ today, He’ll take your sins away, He’ll take your sins away. And keep you happy in His love each day, He'll take your sins away.
He took my sins away, He took my sins away, and keeps me singing every day! I’m so glad He took my sins away, He took my sins away.
Thought For Today: Restoration begins with repentance.
