“Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God”
Today’s Morsel: I once had an opportunity to serve on a chili judging committee. I will never do that again! Isn’t it amazing that God chose judges to judge His people and yet people say, “Don’t judge me”, and they also say “We are not supposed to judge others.” Well, if God chooses judges, what are they supposed to do? What is their job? Isn’t it to judge others? I would love to see someone stand before the court and tell the judge, "You aren’t supposed to judge me." I do believe that men of God have the right to judge others when cases of wrongdoing, disagreements, and corruption are brought before them. Even Paul tell us, “Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life” (1 Corinthians 6:2-3)? I think many people may misunderstand Paul’s writings. But to judge others without facts and understanding is always wrong. Especially Paul said if we judge others for doing wrong and we ourselves are doing the same thing. There is a judgment of God and every one of us have an appointment, no one will escape it. Be prepared for the final judgment.
Sing: When gloom and sadness whispers, you’ve sinned no use to pray. I look away to Jesus, and He tells me to say.
I see a Crimson Stream of Blood, it flows from Calvary, it’s waves which reach the Throne of God, are sweeping over me.
Thought For Today: Judges rule after wisdom.
