"Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God." (1 Corinthians 4:1)
Today’s Morsel: One the things about this time and season for the church is that it gives us the opportunity to bring revelation for the reason for the season. Many will question and say that Christmas is a pagan holiday, while others will say that this is not the time and the date that Christ was born. But as believers of Christ, we must not be unwise. We must bring about the revelation of the mysteries of God. As Paul told Timothy, “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” (1 Timothy 3:15-16). If those you encounter don’t know who Jesus is after the season and after you have talked with them, you’ve missed a great opportunity.
Sing: Go tell it on the mountain, over the hill and everywhere, go tell it on the mountain, that Jesus Christ is born.
Thought For Today: Unfold the mystery of the season (Parker).
