Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 July 27

"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."  (Colossians 3:17)

Today’s Morsel:  I have come to realize that everything we do in life counts.  Even scripture tells us, “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62); “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned” (Matthew 12:36-37); “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons” (Colossians 3:23-25).  There is never a wrong time to do what is right.  Everything we do counts.  This is especially true when it comes to living according to God’s word.  We all need to be doers of His word, not simply hearers.

Sing: Learning to lean, learning to lean, I’m learning to lean on Jesus; finding more power, than I’ve ever dreamed, I’m learning to lean on Jesus.

Thought For Today: It’s never Okay to do wrong.
