Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 July 26

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."
(Matthew 7:12)

Today’s Morsel:  I’m sure that at one time or another most people have heard about this thing called the “Golden Rule.”  Why was this scripture entitled such?  Jesus never called it the “Golden Rule.”  He simply said treat people the way that you want to be treated and to do unto others what you want them to do to you.  Yet, if it’s golden, shouldn’t we all be keeping it?  This scripture is perhaps the most simple, profound, and universal guide for human interaction.  If you are looking for a crash course on doing right and treating people right, then you don’t have to look any farther than the word of God, as it’s all Golden.

Sing: To be like Jesus, to be like Jesus, on earth I long to be like Him.  All through life’s journey, from earth to glory, I only ask, to be like Him.

Thought For Today:  The “Golden Rule” is still pure gold.
