2014 May 5 - Morning Manna

Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. (John 21:12-13)

Today's Morsel: In olden days, most farm houses had a bell that was rung when it was time to eat.  One of the things you find about Jesus, is that He never allowed His disciples to go hungry.  He always ensured that they had something to eat. Whether it was leading them through the corn fields, among the fig trees, breaking bread, or eating on the shore, He made sure they were fed.  He also told them that a laborer was worthy of their hire.  If you are laboring in the vineyard for Christ, you don't have to worry about your next meal, He will always ensure there is food on the table for you.  "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread" (Psalms 37:25).

Sing: "Come and Dine" the Master calleth "Come and Dine." You may feast at Jesus' table all the time.  He who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine, to the hungry calleth now, "Come and dine."
