And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Revelation 7:11-17)
Today's Morsel: Have you ever had anyone ask you if you were saved? What went through you mind when they asked you? Did you have a moment of doubt because you needed to search yourself to ensure that you are still doing what the Lord has asked you to do; or maybe you suddenly realized that you may be on the wrong course? Once we have repented of our sins and have been baptized in Jesus name, and filled with His Spirit, there should be no doubt within us when it comes to our salvation, if we are continuing on in Christ and obeying His Word. Everyday should be a day that we look toward that heavenly city. That New Jerusalem. When we look at our salvation, we should immediately see an abundance of life. That's what salvation brings with it, an abundant life. The old life is gone and the new life now shines brighter than before. This Gospel of Jesus Christ should be even brighter than you have ever known. When John was asked, "What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Notice, they came through pressure (literally or figuratively) affliction, anguish, burdens, persecution, tribulation, trouble. They didn't allow anything to prevent them from reaching glory. What about you? Do you regress or progress in your tribulations? In Romans 8:35, Paul asked the question who shall separate us from the love of Christ? He said, shall tribulations? These things should not separate us from Christ's love because our robes have been washed in the blood of the Lamb in the waters of baptism and this abundant salvation we now have will lead us home where we too will worship forever.
Sing: Thou art worthy! Thou art worthy! Thou art worthy O' Lord. To receive glory, glory and honor, glory and honor and power. For Thou hast created, hast all things created, Thou hast created all things. And for Thy pleasure they are created, Thou art worthy, O' God.
